Nowadays everyone talks about the chatbot that came like a storm, Chat GPT. But many alternatives are available in the market now, including Claude AI which is a strong competitor of Chat GPT. However, the main differences between both chatbots will lie in their AI ethics. Let’s move forward to understand Claude AI and its core strengths and limitations.
What is Claude AI?
The Anthropic AI develops Claude as the LLM large language model. Claude is trained for natural text-based conversations and can perform summarization of long texts, editing, answering your queries, decision-making, code-writing, and a lot more.
The Anthropic provides three models of Claude AI that include Claude 1, Claude 2, and Claude-Instant. All of these models have distinctive capabilities as language models. The Claude is able to read 75,000+ words at a time as it is trained on newly updated data. Hence, it can read long text and you can ask follow-up questions from it.

Who is Anthropic AI? It is a start-up that is co-founded with the ex-members of Open AI to attain the best AI ethics in their AI models. The founders include Amodei siblings, Dario and Daniela who took part in Open AI’s GPT-3 project but somehow parted ways due to some safety concerns of AI.
Anthropic played a firm role in AI safety, unlike GPT-4. Claude models have initiated a valid approach with “constitutional AI”. Claude has aligned with the rules of the constitutional AI document that includes freedom, privacy, and opposition to inhumane treatment. They have achieved this approach to deliver safety and reliability.
How to use Claude AI?
Using Claude AI is easy you just need to set up your account and log in to Claude.ai. After login, you will witness an input box where you can ask any question and start the conversation with the chatbot. It will also allow you to upload a PDF or a text document and can ask questions for context. You can repeatedly ask questions to get slightly different and give feedback.
How does Claude AI work in comparison with Chat GPT?
Many offerings of Claude AI align well with the Open AI’s language models. As Claude AI is a cheaper and faster model as compared to GPT 3.5 and Claude 2 is a cutting-edge technology but is slower as compared to GPT-4.
On the other side, Claude AI cannot access outside information that is outside of the prompt. Its models can’t interrupt the images and can’t create any type of image.
Is Claude better than Chat GPT?
Can Claude win over the Chat GPT or not? The free version of Claude is better than Chat GPT, but Chat GPT has a larger paid subscription that allows it to have larger knowledge and qualities in contrast with the Claude.
To test and evaluate which model works better, we will use LMSYS’s, chatbot arena leaderboard which will help to rank the best model based on three specific evaluations.
1. Elo Rating:
It works on the same algorithm that ranks chess players against each other. It will do side-by-side comparison and human inputs will be given to both to rank which response is best.
2. MT-Bench:
This benchmark evaluates the models with GPT-4, and it has gained 80% accuracy to human evaluations. It uses a different question-and-answer session that evaluates based on input and output.
3. Massive multi-task language understanding:
MMLU measures the knowledge on which the models are trained by evaluating question answering at depth to check the ability of the model across a range of topics.
Overall, Claude’s models transcend the GPT 3.5 model in Elo rating and MMLU, but GPT-4 wins the lead when it comes to the slower and more expensive tiers. Free version of Claude outstrips in reading, analyzing, and summarizing long paragraphs or documents, besides the raw material.
Claude Pro misses many features of Chat GPT+ such as voice chat, image creation, data analysis, image understanding, and w=even we browsing. Claude Pro needs to build a whole base to grow in comparison with Chat GPT+.
Can Claude AI access the internet?
Claude AI cannot access the internet. On the contrary, The partnership of Open AI-Bing has let them access the internet for their GPT-4 model. Claude does not such access to search engines. Thus, This question will remain if Claude will partner with Bing to get access to advanced browser functionality as Chat GPT.
